NEWS!!!! Oct 18th 2009:

We are thrilled to announce our very own Tao Vom Linmarc is now a government validated explosive detection K9!
Jaime and Tao validated as a team to the new JIBC standards. It was a huge undertaking and challenge but Tao made it with 19 finds out of 20 hides! All this two days before her second birthday!
Tao joins Wyatt (Holdem Von Grunheide) as our second JIBC validated dog, Wyatt became a validated Patrol K9 earlier this year with Jaime.
Jaime has been working with Tao since she was 8 weeks old to get to this point, and we thrilled at her achievements!
Tao is fluent on TNT, Nitro based explosives (Dynamite, ANFO, Slurries and the like) , Black and Smokeless powder, and PETN and RDX based explosives . |
The validation ran two days and consisted of a luggage search, office building, outdoor area search, 25 vehicles, and wear house search all with an unknown number of hides and time limit. Only two missed hides are allowed over the two day period.
Jaime is very excited to have Tao as her new K9 detection partner. They will be working for Western K9 Security for the upcoming 2010 Olympics, and keep your eyes peeled for them screening at the BC ferry terminals as well!
'We would like to thank Master Trainer Werner Hader of Obedience Plus for all his time and training advice in helping us to achieve our goals with both Wyatt and Tao. Thank You!'
